At Foodsleeve African Restaurant, every pot carries the smoke, spice, and generosity of a Lagos kitchen. From our home in Charles Village at 418 E 30th St, we hand-pound swallows, simmer okra and egusi with dried shrimp and stockfish, grill suya over open flame, and brew deep-red zobo fresh. Portions are famously generous - one bowl often feeds you twice - and we cook late into the Baltimore night, so home is never far away.

Some of the best African food I've ever had. Nice and hot. Large serving of pounded yam. Perfect amount of spice. Amazing food portions and super tasty. It came with toothpicks and these cute little candy bags for each entree. Paid about $35 per entree but it's more than worth it. Number 1 spot from now on. This was one of the best jollof rice I've eaten in a while. The smokiness, the portions, the turkey... I'm hungry again just thinking about it. The portion of the meal was generous and filling. I ate it over the course of 2 days and it would've lasted longer but the food was too good! It tastes just like party jollof rice (iykyk).
